Membership

FoRS membership in FoRS is open to all independent development and relief NGOs from the Czech Republic. An organisation must first become an observer. The FoRS Executive Board approves the status of observer, while membership is under acknowledgment of the General Assembly. Observers are expected to apply for the full membership in at least half a year being associated to FoRS. Observers have the same access to the information and communication services of FoRS as full members, while they cannot be elected to the Executive nor Advisory Board. Organisations (or individuals) can become an observer if they do not fulfil the conditions for full membership. 

Conditions to become a full member:
1) Existence of the organisation for at least 6 months
2) Not for profit
3) Seated in the Czech Republic
4) Operations in the field of development cooperation, development education and/or humanitarian aid
5) Submission of documents (annual report or report on activities, statute and official registration together with confirmation of Registered No. of the organisation)
